| Artwork Preparation
Electronic files are best supplied in the following formats:
- Adobe Illustrator version 10.0 or under (label mac files .ai)
- Corel Draw version 9.0 or under
- Other Files see Other Files Section under notes
NOTES:
- All fonts must be converted to outlines.
- Files should not contain placed images or logos from non-vector
based programs, ie: no JPEG, TIFF, Raster images etc.
- Spot color separations should be done prior to sending files.
- Files should not contain half tones.
- Art should be sized as required.
- All electronic files must be accompanied by hard copy or
color composite, minimum resolution 300 dpi.
- Files should not be compressed.
- Do not convert files to .eps or .pdf formats.
Other File Types:
- Word processing programs like Microsoft Word
- Excel
- Powerpoint.
- Publisher etc.
The above file types are not designed to produce
print quality graphics. In addition, low resolution files like JPEG format files normally
require conversion by our art department prior to use. These files will require additional art set-up fees.
If you need to supply graphics prepared in a non-
graphic type program there are a few things you can
do to increase print quality and reduce art charges.
- Prepare file as large as possible
- Print a black & white copy on a laser printer
- Supply us with the highest resolution file available (200 dpi or higher)
Files that do not meet our guidelines will incur art preparation charges.
